What we will be doing next week

So we actually have some news. It is nothing big but I am excited. For thanksgiving this year I get to go home to California. I haven't been home and had my mom's cooking for thanksgiving in three years. Yesterday Scott called me and told me he was on his way home from the Dr.'s office. He had cut his finger open and had to get 4 stitches. I guess our vacation is coming at the perfect time since he can't really work. My mom said that my dad is thinking about taking us to the beach for a day or two while we are down as well. I am so excited.

Our day

This morning I had Sadie on the couch. I noticed that she would laugh when I sang to her or made a noise. So I got my phone ready and took this picture, she is so cute.
We went to the store this morning, but instead of going home right after we went to the park. She liked to look at the leaves on the ground. She even sat on them and played with them. I took her around to the different trees and she felt the needles on the pine tree and the bark on the other trees. I just wish it wasn't so cold outside. We would have stayed longer if she had been dressed warmer.

Sadie is 5 months old.

Sadie turned 5 months yesterday. It is hard to believe that it has been that long since I was in the hospital having her. She is such a good girl. She sleeps through the night in her own room, I think that she couldn't care less if we were in the room with her or not. She can roll around wherever she wants. I thing that she has a tooth coming in on the bottom but it doesn't seem to bug her too much.

This is a painting that I'm working on, I don't know what I'm going to do with it next, it is more an experiment with a new style. We had some great news last weekend. I did some calling around and found that one of the bills from the doctors was filled wrong and we may not owe anything. Hurray!!! So to all those women out there, if there is a questionable bill that you receive don't be afraid to call people and fight it. Other than that the only other news we have is that it was Scott's birthday on Monday. I made a huge cake. We are still trying to get rid of it.

This is for Great Grandma

Yesterday I walked into Sadie's room because I heard her wake up. I found her in her crib with this blanket over her head.

She had her fingers through the holes. She really likes this blanket, her great grandma made it for her.

This was her after church on Sunday. Her hair was all messed up from her head band.

Sadie has started to squeal and that is what I was trying to catch but I thought this was cute too.

This is Sadie's new way of riding in her swing. I left the room for only a minute and this is what I found when I came back.
Maybe she just wanted her blanket. She is at that stage when everything in reaching distance goes in her mouth. She doesn't have any teeth yet, I say that she is like a great white shark, she wants to know what it is so it has to go in the mouth so she can taste it.



We went shopping with grandma (Scott's mom) the other day and we found this really cute hat, now I want one just like it.
