Our Beautiful Big Girl

So I thought I would update everyone on how Sadie is growing and learning lately. She is so full of character it is hard to know where to start. She is learning to say a lot more these days, though it is still a little hard for me to understand at times. Her favorite phrase of the moment is "wook at dat" translation look at that, or "wook at dis". She says it rather quickly too, while pointing. She also says mom a lot, in fact it is usually the first thing she says in the morning. She also says
dad
dog (when you ask her what a dog says she pants)
meow ( when she sees a cat)
wow
ow
no
don't (and this morning "you don't". She was back talking me when I told her to "don't kick your legs")
all done
ni night
tickle tickle
nose
nice

Words and phrases she understands
Put that back
sit down
ni night
no
tickle tickle
all done
kitty cat
doggy
daddy
honey = daddy
mom
milk
something to eat
look at that
sponge bob
bye bye
don't
hands
careful
nice
and a lot others I can't think of at the moment.
She is really funny and sweet most of the time, but she sure can get mad. She knows not to hit but she will get red in the face and grunt, sometimes pretend biting her own fingers. Her favorite pastimes are climbing up and down everything, eating, reading, looking at pictures, drawing and playing with my hair. She knows when she has done something wrong and gets a sad face to show that she is sorry. She will give me hugs and kisses too. She loves little people, especially boys, she even gave a 5 year old boy she didn't know a hug on Sunday at church. It was so cute. He on the other hand didn't quite know what to do. I am excited because there are only a few weeks left and she can go to nursery. Yay! She loves to brush her teeth, but not her hair. She has grown up so fast I can hardly believe it.

mostly pictures

Today was such a pretty day that I had to take some pictures.

Sadie picking Grandmas tomatoes.

Sadie knocking on great grandmas door. She looks so big in this picture.

This was after Church on our front steps. Sadie is wearing the dress Scott's mom made a little over 26 years ago for Scott before she knew he was actually a boy.

Shopping With Mom And Grandma

So today Sadie, my Mom and I all went shopping again. We had a few more things to pick up for families helping families and we ended up finding a few things for ourselves as well. Sadie loved trying on clothes too, even though they weren't quite her size. So much fun!

A Visit With Great Grandma

My Mom and Grandma with Sadie

Today my Mom and I decided to take a break from house work so that we could do some shopping and make a visit to see Grandma. We started with my Grandma. My mom has been worried about my grandma because she hasn't been wanting to get up and around much the last few days, so we decided to take lunch with us and eat with her. When we got to the hospital we weren't sure if she would be in the cafeteria with everyone else eating her lunch, but thankfully she was. She seemed so much happier today than the last few days. She should be home soon. Yay!!! After that we did some shopping for some Christmas gifts for families helping families. Oh and some gifts for a friends wedding. All in all it was a lot of fun but boy are we tired now, and all before 3pm. We still have more shopping for tomorrow but that is going to be for Scott's birthday too. And lets hope that I get pictures of Sadie in her Halloween costume soon.

It may be a few days until I am able to post pictures from Halloween. We had a crazy day as far as cameras are concerned. My mom's camera was dead and she couldn't find her charger. I had my charger but couldn't find my camera. I was a little worried that we weren't going to get any pictures but thankfully my sister was at trunk or treat and was able to snap a few cute pictures. I just have to wait to for my sister to email them to me. It was a really fun Halloween this year. My whole family helped out in a haunted house. It was held in a 100 year old 3 story mansion. It was a senior project for a member in our ward. I think that the scariest people in it were my Mom, dad, Bishop and brother, well everyone was scary but those are the four we heard the most about. Oh and in nine days it is Scott's birthday. I'm so excited! I love having an excuse to buy Scott something as a surprise. So more posts to come hopefully sooner rather than later.
