Okay, okay

Okay so to appease those of you who have been bugging me to update my blog, I will no longer put it off. Since we got to California we have been pretty busy. We are just doing work for my parents at the moment but it is nice to have something to do. My grandma was put in the hospital a little over a week ago. She was pretty weak at first but then they moved her into the rehabilitation center so she could build her strength. She was doing well until they started to give her some of her medication again. She is sick today, but I hope she starts to feel better soon. She should come home soon. It has been really hard on my mom because she has been there with her all day everyday, so I have been taking care of everyone while she takes care of my grandma. We are happy and feel a lot more relaxed with our life now than before. Not much has happened other than that. I will update more later when I have pictures from Halloween.

An End and A Start

So as many of you know we are moving. At first we were just moving out of our apartment, but now it looks like we are moving states. The last few months have been really hard for us financially, actually the hardest we have ever faced but it seems that things may be looking up. We are moving to California to try and get back on our feet. We have a lot of work to do when we get down there and I think we are both excited. This move signifies an end to our student ward days. It may be years before we move back to Rexburg, if we do. Our future is a little cloudy but things look good. We have loved being back in our original ward, we are going to miss all of our friends, and wish we could just move everyone with us. I am excited to see my family again, especially to spend the holiday season with them. It has been a long time since I was there for the season and not just a week. Though I am trying to rap my mind around living close to my parents and not with them, that part just feels a little weird to me. I just hope that all of our plans for the future see fruition. Now I must get back to packing, even though I only have some of my stuff in our apartment it seems like everything has doubled. AHhhhhh! D. I. here I come.

And some crazy pictures of Sadie, okay one crazy picture one cute picture.

Crazy Sadie riding in a box, only at the moment the box isn't moving.

And here Sadie is sitting on a bar stool like a big girl.

finally an update

Okay, okay I know it has been nearly a month since the last time that I posted anything. Over the weekend we took a trip to salt lake for Scott's mission reunion, if you could call what we went to a reunion. We had fun all in all but there were definitely some adventures. On the way down we hit traffic three separate times, so we got to our hotel room almost an hour late, and so we left half an hour late. We thought we knew where we were going but apparently not, we drove for another hour and a half trying to find where we needed to be asking for directions 3 times before we finally found it. As it turns out Scott's mission presidents idea of a reunion is a 2 and a half hour talk by him and then 15 min of actually getting to talk to people before having to leave, starving because you hadn't eaten in 8 hours. Then we had a screaming baby in the back for the 30 min ride back to our hotel. The poor thing had spent 7 hours total in the car that day and she was starving. So our night wasn't that great but the next day was better. We left the hotel in the morning and headed into down town salt lake. We went to the gateway mall and shopped for a little while, Sadie was the only one that got anything. She got a stuffed lion that she carried around the entire time, oh and she growled like it the whole time too. She had so much fun looking at everything and getting to walk around temple square. It was the first time I had ever been to salt lake while conference was in session, and I had always heard about the protesters that stand outside the gates. Scott and I actually laughed at one group. There were a number of women dressed up as pioneers with a sign that said Joseph Smith's wives. It is sad to me that people feel the need to do that type of thing. I guess we are just a bunch of terrible people doing terrible things by listening to our leaders. (sarcasm) Anyway we really enjoyed our trip, and the opportunity to get away as a family. Those always seem to be the best times for all of us. On the way home Sadie learned a new trick, she managed to take off her shirt, and she was so proud of herself. And what would a post be without pictures. I'll post more pictures from the trip when I get them on the computer.

Sadie in her tutu, oh and don't mind the messy room backdrop.
